Deacon’s employees are giving back to their communities, on their own, and with the support of the Deacon Charitable Foundation. The Foundation offers many opportunities for our employees to get involved in our community via various programs, be it hands-on or with donations to eligible charitable organizations.
Employee Matching Gift & Volunteer Program
1) Eligible cash gifts will be matched on a 2:1 basis to qualifying U.S. nonprofit organizations
2) When you or a family member volunteers for the same type of organizations we will match $20 for each hour volunteered.
All full-time regular employees of Deacon Construction and their immediate families (spouses/domestic partners and children) may participate.
Community Service Program
Twice a year, our employees in each office come together during work hours to give back to their communities. For four hours, Deacon’s employees are encouraged to participate in our Community Service Day in support of a local organization.
The Go-Giver Program
The Go-Giver Program is to recognize those Deacon employees who really take to heart our Mission to Support Our Communities – and at the start of the new calendar year, the Foundation Board chooses a “Star” for special recognition, chosen from the Deacon Community Go-Givers from the previous year.
A Star Go-Giver will receive a $1,000 grant for the nonprofit of his choice; an invitation to attend the Charitable Giving Summit with Co-Chairs of local Committees and the Foundation Board, and a write-up in the Deacon Charitable Foundation Annual Report.
